FAQ About the Hearth

 

Q: Why don't we use alcohol?

A: We don't use alcohol to provide Heathens who don't drink, especially those with an addiction history, a place to honor the Gods where they won't be tempted. We also meet in a public park and having alcohol would complicate matters.

 

Q: Why are we so outspoken about our support of LGBT+ folks when there's other groups who are supportive if you ask?

A: We feel it's important that people know and don't have to guess or ask our stance on the issue. 

 

Q: How long does a standard Blót take?

A: It depends on so many variables that it's hard to say; it could be 15 minutes or 2 hours.

 

Q: What does "mental health-friendly" mean?

A: It means we are supportive of people regardless of any mental health issues they may be going through and want to do our best to help.

 

Q: Why don't we call ourselves a Kindred?

A: Because we don't have the social structure you'd typically find in a Kindred.

 

Q: What about Loki?

A: We feel that Loki is a needed chaos and balance in the universe and welcome responsible toasts to Him.
